Mortgage Rates Drop Slightly

Fixed mortgage rates took a slight downward move during the past week, Freddie Mac reported March 20 in its weekly Primary Mortgage Market Survey.

The 30-year fixed-rate fell 0.05 percent to 4.32 percent (up from 3.54 percent a year ago). The 15-year fixed-rate declined 0.06 percent to 3.32 percent (up from 2.73 percent a year ago).

The one-year adjustable-rate rose 0.01 percent to 2.49 percent (down from 2.63 percent a year ago). The five-year Treasury-indexed dropped 0.07 percent to 3.02 percent (up from 2.61 percent a year ago).
