TRENTON -- Two bills sponsored by Senator Jeff Van Drew that are intended to honor military veterans – those who have sacrificed for our country – have cleared the Senate Budget and Appropriations Committee, and now head to the Senate floor for a vote.
The first bill will allow shore towns, by ordinance, to provide free or reduced cost beach access to military veterans. The measure (S-958) would expand current law, which allows towns to provide free or discounted beach tags to active duty military and active duty New Jersey National Guard members.
