New Jersey Governor Chris Christie unleashes some salty words for beachfront homeowner holdouts who don’t comply with a deadline today to sign easements to let the state build protective sand dunes along its almost 130-mile shoreline. The dunes would help curb damage from coastal storms. Hurricane Sandy devastated New Jersey last year, and Congress passed a $60.2 billion aid package mainly for the Garden State and New York.
The governor pledged to use “every tool” at his disposal to force the holdouts to sign the easements, including publicly naming those who resist.
